Pawn's Gambit (Mortal Techniques) by Rob J. Hayes - Book Review 22, Jul

Another fun, fantasy martial arts story reminiscent of Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon or The Forbidden Kingdom.

Pawn’s Gambit is the second novel by Rob J. Hayes set in the world of “Mortal Techniques.“ While it is not truly a sequel to Never Die!, this stand alone installment does reference characters and events from the first book in the setting. The novel was another fast paced and episodic adventure which fans of Asian-inspired fantasy, and martial arts Wuxia action with love.

Today we're talking all about gods and monsters ... and who better to join us than Gareth Hanrahan, author of The Gutter Prayer and The Shadow Saint! Gareth is well known for his innovative exploration of gods in fantasy. Our regular host, Dyrk Ashton, isn't too shabby either, thanks to his experience writing the epic urban fantasy Paternus trilogy, which sees hundreds of gods fight for supremacy in the modern day. Enjoy!
