SPFBO 2019 - Phase 1 - Sixth Booknest Semifinalist

Write on: Sat, 02 Nov 2019 by  in Blog Read 10026

It has been my great pleasure to once again to have been invited to serve as an SPFBO guest judge by Booknest. My job has been to review five of the thirty books in Booknest's batch, and forward one of them as a semifinalist. And so, without further ado...

I have chosen the book that intrigued, challenged, and perhaps even perplexed me the most. We are thrown right into the story and it took me awhile to get my bearings. That in itself is part of what kept me reading, and once I found my stride, I honestly could not put it down. It is also the book in the group that I find myself still thinking about the most.

What is that book, you ask?

My choice for semifinalist is Spark City, Book One of the Spark City Cycle, by Robert J. Power. You really ought to check this out, folks. You can read my review on Booknest here. Best of luck, Robert! And finish up the series so I can read more :)

Thank you to all the contestants, and I wish you all the very best.
