A self-professed geek and proud of it, I started reading at a tender age and never really stopped until work got in the way for several years. I regained my voracious appetite for books a few years back and then started to enjoy writing down my thoughts. I am more of an emotional/instinctual rather than a critical reader.
Aside from reading, I enjoy outdoor sports (running, hiking, cycling, an occasional frisbee game), photography and travelling.
3.5/5 stars
The Thousand Deaths of Ardor Benn is quite a commendable adult fantasy debut, flintlock-style, by Tyler Whitesides that is fun, entertaining and has a unique magic system.
The Age of War marks a fine conclusion to the first act of the series, revealing the true story behind the legends spoken of in Riyria Revelations which was not all fairy tales, rainbows and butterflies.
4/5 stars.
The Last Wish was more than up to task in satisfying my curiosity; I am now hooked on The Witcher.
