Malice (The Faithful And the Fallen #1) 23, Feb

Rating: 4.5/5 Stars

Have you ever got the feeling that after reading the first book in a series, you just know that there's a huge potential for the series to become one of your favorite series of all time? Malice, the first book out of four in The Faithful And the Fallen series by John Gwynne is one of those rare cases for me.

The Last Mortal Bond (Chronicle of the Unhewn Throne #3) 16, Feb

Rating: 3.5/5 Stars

The Last Mortal Bond, the ending to Chronicle of the Unhewn Throne trilogy by Brian Staveley provides a great and fitting conclusion to the trilogy but at the same time it’s actually quite disappointing as the last book of the trilogy. This is a really hard book for me to review, there are a lot of factors I love and dislike at the same time. It’s in my opinion that out of the entire trilogy, this is the weakest installment. It’s still really good especially during the amazing climax scenes but sadly there are some parts that hindered the book from reaching its full potential. It will remain spoiler-free as always so you can read it and see for yourself if this trilogy is something that will work for you or not.

The Providence of Fire (Chronicle of the Unhewn Throne #2) 13, Feb

Rating: 4.5/5 Stars

What a great improvement. Providence of Fire, the 2nd book in The Chronicle of the Unhewn Throne trilogy was one of Goodreads nominee for best fantasy in 2015 and it’s for a good reason. Almost everything in the book, starting from plot progression, character development, actions, climax scenes, pacing and world-building are better than the first book in the series.
