If I could have divined that Robert Jackson Bennett's masterful genre-redefining trilogy will end up as one of my all-time favourites, I would not have waited so long to read it.
City of Blades is easily one of the best books I've read this year; it has almost everything I could ask for in a sequel that builds upon a fantastic start to a trilogy.
Sometimes you may wonder why you keep delaying a series that you have been meaning to read, and when you've finally read it, you want to smack yourself hard for waiting so long to do so. Divine Cities falls right into this category of "Why in the world did it take me so long to read this? It is so good!"
