My Lady Jane

It was amusing. It was romantic. It was slightly based on medieval history. And it was a gem.

I'm dancing like a happy ferret!

Alien. I fell in love with a freaking alien. Not one of those greeny three-eyed creatures but still he is extraterrestrial life. As if book boyfriends from this galaxy weren't enough.

“If I am a sword, I am a sword made of glass, and I feel myself beginning to shatter.”

I would be more than willing to be the one who shatters you and stomps on your pieces, insufferable lightning girl!

“I love you,’ he whispered, and kissed my brow.‘Thorns and all.”

Sarah J. Maas did it again! That woman is a miracle maker, an evil genius who brutally torments the poor readers and guides them to the skies like a Valkyrie at the same time! I bow to her brilliance!

The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer (Mara Dyer, #1)
24, Jul

Rating: 5 stars

Genre: Young Adult, Paranormal

“But without my big mouth, no one would know that a seventeen-year-old who likes Death Cub for Cutie was responsible for the murders. No one would know that somewhere out there is a B student with a body count. And it's important that you know, so you're not next.”

This book messed with my sanity. It teased it, played with it and then tossed it aside and left me trying to gather my wits, something that felt like catching feathers in a tornado. Impossible.

“These were unsafe times. But then in safer times,I'd be a woman without a job.The safe-tech world had little use for a magic-touting mercenary like me.”

Welcome to a world where magic and technology fight to gain the upper hand.Where necromancers control vampires and every nightmarish mythical creature turns out to be real, eager to devour human flesh.

Welcome to Atlanta.
