Celeste

Celeste

Celeste was raised on a steady diet of fairy tales and Bible stories, and always chose to sleep with books instead of teddy bears. Her husband still feeds her book addiction. Southern born and bred, she’s proud of her Louisiana heritage and the spicy foods it brings with it. She’s a guitarist and lead vocalist in a Christian rock band, and hopes to write books of her own someday. Though she’ll read pretty much anything with words, her favorite genre is fantasy in all its many forms.

Injustice: Gods Among Us Year One - The Complete Collection 20, Jan

Rating: 5/5 stars

Wow.  This first year of the Injustice series completely blew me away.  So many philosophical questions were raised here.

Monstress Vol. 1: Awakening (Monstress #1) 08, Jan

Rating: 4/5 stars

I’m not the biggest graphic novel reader, especially outside of the superhero genre.  There are a few that I’ve read, like the Saga series which I didn’t love as much as I desperately wanted to, and one that I’ve really loved (*cough* V for Vendetta *cough*), but I’ve never really delved into the odd genre of literary graphic novels.

Heir of Novron (Riyria Revelations #3) 07, Jan

Rating: 5/5 stars

Wow.  I thought that Theft of Swords was fantastic, but Rise of Empire improved upon it greatly.  Then along comes Heir of Novron, which blew away everything that proceeded it.
